Africa-Press – Namibia. THE Inspector General of the Namibian Police Force, Joseph Shikongo, has lauded the members of the Force for their unwavering dedication to maintaining law and order throughout the past 35 years.
Shikongo made the remarks during an engagement with junior members of the police at Omuthiya on Wednesday.
He acknowledged the numerous challenges faced by the police force but emphasized their consistent success in ensuring the safety and security of the nation’s citizens.
He indicated that the commitment and hard work of officers across all ranks are evident as they continue to make sacrifices and tireless efforts in upholding the rule of law.
“For 35 years, our men and women in uniform have stood as a rampart against crime and disorder,” he said.
He added that despite the complexities and difficulties inherent in their mission, their commitment has been steadfast. They have consistently strived to create a safe and secure environment for all Namibians.
