Africa-Press – Namibia. THE Christ Victory Ministry of All Nation (CVMOAN) continues to uphold its mandate as a church to show love, compassion and holiness to everyone. The church handed over five houses to less privileged members of the Iindjinda village in the Uukwiyu constituency of the Oshana region recently, as well as 80 bags of cement to be shared among the elders and youths to use for any purpose.

Houses are constructed for elderly people found abandoned by their families or those that are languishing in poverty. Lead pastor Sem Abiatar said CVMOAN has not been just a church, but a house of solutions for the elderly.

In May 2021, Pastor Abiatar collected close to N$80 000 for the establishment of the houses, to cater to elderly people who find themselves without accommodation and other contributing factors due to poverty.

He said since the start of the project last year, they were able to construct seven houses in total, with two completed and handed over last year. Abiatar said the idea was to complete ten houses by the end of 2021, but Covid-19 and resulting restrictions put in place delayed the process.

“Everything we do is through compassion and with an understanding that anyone has pain, problems, and poverty that are also ours to carry,” he said.

He noted that they are a nation of love and need to have a love for each other as the Bible teaches them. Abiatar said they will continue to assist where they can to uplift the lives of the people.
