Africa-Press – Namibia. THE SWAPO Party has announced its candidates for the upcoming November elections, following extraordinary district conferences held over the weekend in the Oshana Region.
The party has selected candidates to represent five districts in the region: Ongwediva, Okaku, Okatana, Uukwiyu Uushona, and Ondangwa Urban.
For the regional council elections, the candidates are Eddy Ngololo for the Ongwediva District, Ester Phillemon for the Okaku District, Petrus Ashipala for the Okatana District, Andreas Amundjindi for the Uukwiyu Uushona District, and Leonard Sunday Negonga for Ondangwa Urban.
The party also nominated its local authority candidates.
For the Ongwediva Local Authority, the candidates are Juliana Haimbondi, Jeremia Amutenya, Priskila Hailulu, Ndenges Mwalengwa, Naemi Amuthenu, George Fabiam, and Eveline Ekandjo.
The candidates for the Ondangwa Urban Local Authority are Ester Mweneni Auala, Nicodemus Bayo Amadhila, Elizabeth Netope, Nehemiah Angula, Julia Kapiya, Wilbard Ashipala, and Selma Nembiya.
These individuals will represent the SWAPO Party in the November elections.
