Africa-Press – Namibia. THE Ministry of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sports, Arts and Culture has dismissed allegations circulating on social media regarding the alleged use of Ministry vehicles and officials in activities linked to political mobilisation and voter transportation.
Mbumba Haitengela, Executive Director within the ministry, said that these allegations are unfounded and misleading.
“The Ministry remains committed to its mandate of serving the Namibian people through education, youth empowerment, sports development, arts and culture, and not partisan political activities. All official vehicles, resources and programmes are strictly guided by policy, accountability, and transparency measures. At no point has the Ministry sanctioned or supported the use of government resources for purposes outside its official functions,” Haitengela said.
He concluded by encouraging members of the public and former colleagues to verify information through the appropriate channels before making or sharing claims that may mislead the public.
“The Ministry will continue to act with integrity and ensure that its programmes are used solely for the benefit of the youth,” Haitengela said.
