Africa-Press – Namibia. With only two days to go until the Ongwediva Annual Trade Fair 2025 (OATF), the town is buzzing with excitement as people arrive from different parts of the country.

Accommodation in Ongwediva is fully booked, and spaces are quickly running out.

Ongwediva mayor Taara Shalyefu said he is delighted to see people coming from different towns to show love and support.

“If the places are fully booked within the town, I am advising those who did not get a chance to secure accommodation to make use of facilities in nearby towns, such as Ondangwa and Oshakati,” he advised.

The OATF is scheduled to take place from 22 to 30 August 2025.

This year’s edition introduces expanded conferencing opportunities for both exhibitors and non-exhibitors, B2B matchmaking sessions with counterparts from the Limpopo Province in South Africa, a strengthened security framework with CCTV surveillance and a dedicated police charge office on-site.

These additions are designed to enhance both security and the professional experience of the event.

So far, 450 exhibitors have confirmed their attendance, including 26 international exhibitors.

The 2025 fair will bring added variety, with performances by local artists and boxing matches forming part of the entertainment programme.

President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah is expected to officiate the event.
