Africa-Press – Namibia. Former National Petroleum Corporation of Namibia (Namcor) manager Cedric Willemse received N$1.2 million in cash deposits.

Cash deposits totalling close to N$1.2 million were made into a bank account of Willemse between 2 November and 18 December 2022, Anti-Corruption Commission investigator Oberty Inambao testified during Willemse’s bail hearing in the Windhoek Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday.

The cash deposits were made by one of the accused in the Namcor fraud and corruption case, Connie van Wyk, who was the chief executive of a fuel company, Enercon Namibia, which was doing business with Namcor, Inambao said.
