Africa-Press – Namibia. TÜRKIYE, through the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA), has completed more than 100 development projects across various sectors in Namibia.
This was highlighted by Feral Çekerek Oruçkaptan, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Namibia, during a recent courtesy meeting with President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah.

Oruçkaptan revealed that TİKA has so far completed a total of 118 projects in the fields of education, health and agriculture in Namibia. These include renovating the metalworking workshop at Pioniers Boys’ School, implementing a N$1.4 million sustainable harvest and empowerment project in Gobabis, and supporting agricultural production in Oranjemund by installing a 10,000-litre tank and establishing three irrigated community gardens.
She added that Türkiye hopes to further broaden its cooperation with Namibia, particularly in the mining, construction and textile sectors, among other fields.
President Nandi-Ndaitwah welcomed the continued strengthening of bilateral ties between Namibia and the Republic of Türkiye. She acknowledged the longstanding relationship between the two countries, highlighting that Türkiye was among the nations that supported the United Nations’ resolutions that paved the way for Namibia’s independence.
