Africa-Press – Namibia. President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has presided over the last Cabinet meeting for the year.
At the meeting on Tuesday, she said working in isolation undermines collective progress as governance is a shared responsibility.
She also described leadership as a learning curve that requires openness and curiosity.
“Demonstrating the spirit of teamwork, courage to seek counsel when uncertain, and understanding that governing in silos weakens our collective impact is key to achieving developmental goals,” she said.
The president said effective policy coordination remains central to achieving ambitions.
“When political direction is aligned with administrative professionalism, we create a unified system capable of driving progress at the pace our people expect,” she said.
“Let us continue to uphold merit, professionalism, ethical conduct, and a working environment anchored in trust and constant communication.”
Nandi-Ndaitwah called for reflection on the year’s targets and commitments, reminding leaders that although they may be taking a break, public service must continue.
“Wherever you go, take a moment to engage with Namibians from all walks of life and observe their daily realities,” she said, adding that their insights could guide efforts for faster and more focused planning for the next year.
