Africa-Press<\/a> – Namibia<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>THE National Assembly is set to resume on Tuesday following three months of recess.<\/b><\/p>\n

This was announced in a media statement issued on Monday afternoon. National Assembly spokesperson David Nahongandja said the politicians missed out on 12 days of sitting in addition to their recess.<\/p>\n

In June, the National Assembly suspended the session due to Covid-19 cases surging among members of parliament and the staff. The suspension ran into the recess.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe house was compelled to go into break during the second half of its third session in June this year due to an increase of Covid-19 cases around the country,\u201d Nahongandja said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
