Africa-Press<\/a> – Namibia<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>THE Oshana Police is seriously concerned about crime syndicates becoming more sophisticated as more cases of theft and housebreaking in and around the major towns in the region continue to yield no results.<\/p>\n

Most recently, the Oshakati police lodged two cases of housebreaking with intent to steal, one case of theft of a motor vehicle, theft of firearm, as well as a case of theft in Ondangwa. In all four cases, suspects remain unknown and the stolen items have not yet been recovered.<\/p>\n

According to Community Affairs Officer, Inspector Thomas Aiyambo, an unknown suspect broke into a house at Oshakati-West with unknown object and stole money in cash, a watch, a mobile charger and two perfumes valued at N$89 700.<\/p>\n

In another case, Aiyambo explained that the suspects stole designer shoes, jeans and N$2 500 in cash at Ekuku Extension 1. The items are valued at N$17 505.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, at the Oshakati Rani Mini Market near the Shali Complex, unidentified suspects used unknown tool to gain entry into a 63-year-old\u2019s customer\u2019s vehicle and stole his firearm.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe stolen firearm is a pistol 9\u00d719 calibre, serial number Tip09542, License number PI067718B93728, with a magazine of 9 rounds. The total value is N$15 000,\u201d said Aiyambo.<\/p>\n

Aiyambo indicated that they have also recorded a case of theft of money at Ondangwa\u2019s Ringa Bar, Omashaka location after a suspect stole a total of N$12 480 from the bar\u2019s safe.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
