Therefore members of UDF will be voting for their own presidential candidate. &#8220;We will not vote for any presidential candidate whether it&#8217;s for Swapo, PDM or any other political party,&#8221; Skini said.<\/p>\n<p>In 2013, UDF president Justus \/\/Garoeb called upon UDF&#8217;s supporters to back Swapo&#8217;s presidential candidate, Hage Geingob, because he was a Damara.<\/p>\n<p>Geingob distanced himself from the comments made by \/\/Garoeb, who has been a chief since the 1980s.<\/p>\n<p>Skini, UDFYL chairperson Simson Ochurub, UDF secretary general Hage Gawaseb, Mampriet.J. Nuseb from Otavi, UDFYL secretary<\/p>\n<p>Melissa !Aebes from Swakopmund, Raynold Khoseb from Okahandja, Patience !Hoaes from Khorixas, Mabasen \/Narib from Swakopmund and UDF president Apuis !Auchab attended the meeting where ! Auchab gave the opening speech.<\/p>\n<p>Ochurub told The Namibian that the UDFYL is busy with a facelift for the party and to achieve &#8216;golden results&#8217; , all regional branches have to play a role.<\/p>\n<p>This was a second meeting undertaken by the UDFYL leadership this year, with the aim being to execute resolutions taken at a consultative meeting held in 2018 in Usakos and to prepare for 2024 and 2025 elections.
