Africa-Press – Namibia. <\/strong><\/span>MOST commercial banks in Namibia have been nominated for the reputable banks and fintech awards (RBFA) being hosted by Reputation Poll International.<\/b><\/p>\n

According to Marvin Amuenje, the liaison officer for Reputation Poll International, this year’s awards event has been expanded to include a conference for ministers of finance and central bank governors.<\/p>\n

\u201cLetshego, Standard Bank, Bank Windhoek, FNB as well as the Bank of Namibia and the Development Bank of Namibia are among the top-notch banking and financial institutions in Africa that have been nominated for the awards event scheduled to run from 28 to 30 June 2022,\u201d said Amuenje.<\/p>\n

He added that the RBFA audit committee, chaired by Beldina Auma, former senior communications officer at the World Bank’s Africa region, would look at the work the bank is doing in the different sectors of the community.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey are going to look at how these banks are bringing services to the community,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Reputation Poll International is a leading global reputation-management firm known globally for its annual ranking of the 100 most reputable people and most reputable bank chief executive officers in various countries.<\/p>\n

It will be recognising banks, fintechs and individuals in the finance sector who have built and played an imperative role in revolutionising the banking sector based on excellence, integrity, reliability, expertise, technology and ease of credit \u2013 helping their banks attain a great height of performance.<\/p>\n

This year’s awards edition is designed to acknowledge rapid expansion, integration, accelerated growth and reforms of Africa’s banking and financial sector.<\/p>\n

Together with the poll from the public and customers, RBFA will honour and celebrate outstanding banks and fintech institutions that are moving Africa’s rapidly transforming finance sector.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe will celebrate the achievements of those who are driving growth, development, paving new economic opportunities for citizens and communities, and inspiring the new generations of bankers who are shaping Africa’s economic future,\u201d said Auma.<\/p>\n

According to a statement from the organisers of the event, the 2022 RBFA conference will feature a broad range of discussions and debates by top facilitators from Africa and Europe, bringing theoretical and practical experiences to guide how various sectors can work together to promote financial inclusion.<\/p>\n

\u201cKey stakeholders will include banks, insurance companies, donors, investors, policymakers and regulators,\u201d said the statement.<\/p>\n

The RFBA conference will include branding strategies for accelerated growth: providing financial institutions the opportunity to learn branding strategies that would help to build their equities and maintain dominance in their markets.<\/p>\n
