Africa-Press – Namibia. <\/strong><\/span>MINISTER of agriculture, water and land reform Calle Schlettwein has taken to Twitter to support the destruction of counterfeit goods imported into the country.<\/b><\/p>\n

His sentiments come after the Namibia Revenue Agency last week burned counterfeit goods shipped into the country in recent years.<\/p>\n

\u201c . . . regardless of who is doing it and where it is done,\u201d he tweeted on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Schlettwein believes the law must prevail and the police have a duty to ensure this.<\/p>\n

\u201cMembers of parliament took an oath to protect the law, not to propagate breaking it. One can only be astounded,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Schlettwein was referring to NEFF head Epafras Mukwiilongo, who is a member of parliament and has been charged with incitement to commit an offence and public violence.<\/p>\n
