Africa-Press – Namibia. <\/strong><\/span>THE Namibian sports betting company PstBet on Tuesday announced a N$100 000 sponsorship to Western Suburbs Rugby Club for the 2022 rugby season.<\/b><\/p>\n

Steve Hamunyela the CEO and founder of PstBet said they are committed to supporting the local community.<\/p>\n

\u201cPstBet is committed to supporting our local community. We comfort ourselves in going above and beyond to showcase this in any way that we can and that’s why we were keen to get involved with this venture to the value of N$100 000 in cash and in kind by sponsoring the playing kit. I appeal to you to safeguard this investment by being professional and by practising good corporate governance at all times,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Hamunyela said that PstBet had already become involved in other sport codes.<\/p>\n

\u201cPstBet is no stranger to supporting sports in Namibia, and we have partnerships with football, athletics, boxing and now rugby. We are also supporting various communities as well as youth social enterprises. We do this because we believe through sport we can bring communities together, assist our athletes in reaching their top talent level, and improve the livelihood of our youth in Namibia.\u201d<\/p>\n

Keith Allies, the president of WSRC thanked Hamunyela for the sponsorship.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith your sponsorship our teams will grow in confidence and it will make a significant difference especially to some of our younger players who are now starting out at the club. All in all this sponsorship is very much appreciated and well received,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe club was started 32 years ago and since then we’ve grown and we now have different divisions and teams within the club. As we are now reaching different levels within the club, every bit of help goes a long way. This is a great collaboration for all involved and we are looking forward to the future with confidence,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
