Africa-Press – Namibia. <\/strong><\/span>BRAVE Warriors flying winger Deon Hotto was yesterday named in the top 10 legends to grace the Cosafa Cup.<\/b><\/p>\n

Hotto is considered as one of the standout players who have lit up the showpiece regional tournament with their skill over the last 25 years.<\/p>\n

Also on Cosafa’s list are Manuel ‘Tico-Tico’ Bucuane (Mozambique), Peter Ndlovu (Zimbabwe), Brian Baloyi (South Africa), Fabrice Akwa (Angola), Rotson Kilambe (Zambia), Lehlohonolo Seema (Lesotho), Dipsy Selolwane (Botswana), Felix Badenhorst (Eswatini), Kersley Appou (Mauritius)<\/p>\n

The competition has seen the birth of many international careers down the years, with players using the regional showpiece competition to launch themselves on the path to stardom.<\/p>\n

Hotto will forever be in Namibian football folklore for his two goals in the 2015 Cosafa Cup final that handed his side the trophy and one of their greatest days on the field.<\/p>\n

He has six goals in all, the most by any Brave Warriors player in the competition, and is still going strong for the national side.<\/p>\n

The 31-year-old currently plays his club football for Orlando Pirates in South Africa, where he is a leading player and a fixture in the first team.<\/p>\n

He got four goals in all in that 2015 Cosafa Cup run, added another on home soil in 2016 and then got one more in 2018.<\/p>\n

The new generation of heroes get to strut their stuff in Durban from 5 to 17 July.<\/p>\n
