Africa-Press – Namibia. <\/strong><\/span>THE X Men swept to the top of the Express Credit Futsal Winter League after collecting three victories in the Men’s Premier League over the weekend.<\/b><\/p>\n

On Saturday they beat Quality Futsal Club 3-2, while they beat Galacticos 4-1 and SBS Trucking 4-3 on Sunday, to replace Swakopmund FC at the top of the log, on 24 points from nine matches.<\/p>\n

Swakopmund are second, five points behind, but they have a match in hand, and should be strong contenders for the title, especially after they beat the X men 3-2 in their first round encounter on 9 April.<\/p>\n

Third-placed Patriots, meanwhile, dropped further behind the leaders after being held to a 2-2 draw by SBS Trucking on Friday, which saw the Patriots remaining third on 14 points.<\/p>\n

Windhoek North, meanwhile, closed in on the Patriots after collecting three victories over the weekend.<\/p>\n

On Saturday they beat Galacticos 4-3, and SBS Trucking 9-2, while they beat Chile Futsal 7-5 on Sunday to move up to fourth position on 13 points.<\/p>\n

In the only other Premier League match of the weekend, Quality FC beat Chile FC 4-3 to remain fifth on nine points, while Chile are seventh on eight points.<\/p>\n

In Group A of the Men’s First Division, Replica FC closed in on leaders Ballers FC after beating Down Ball 6-4 and Demia FC 4-3.<\/p>\n

They now join Ballers on 18 points, although Ballers still remain top with a better goal aggregate.<\/p>\n

Dunder Miffin FC meanwhile collected three victories to go third on 15 points.<\/p>\n

They beat Demia FC 4-2, Glamour Boys 11-3 and Ongos Valley 6-0.<\/p>\n

In other Group A results, Royal International Academy beat Ongos Valley FC 8-2, and Down Ball FC beat Royal International Academy 3-0.<\/p>\n

In Group B, Wolves FC joined Walvis Bay FC at the top of the log after beating Luxury Hill FC 9-2, and Combretum Trust 4-3.<\/p>\n

Wolves and Walvis Bay are now both on 21 points, although the latter have a match in hand and a better goal aggregate.<\/p>\n

There was a big upset in the Women’s First Division when Unam thrashed former log leaders Ramblers 12-2, while Khomas Nampol went to the top of the log after thumping Ramblers II 12-2.<\/p>\n

In another match Ramblers I beat Ramblers II 10-0.<\/p>\n

Khomas Nampol now lead the log on 13 points from five matches, followed by Ramblers on 10 and Unam I on seven points.<\/p>\n

In the only u17 Boys match, PAY beat The Birds 3-2 to move off the foot of the table.<\/p>\n

ACFA remain top on 12 points, followed by Amazing Kids on six, Swallows and PAY on four each, and The Birds on three points.<\/p>\n
