Africa-Press<\/a> – Namibia<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>THE Namibia Metrological Services has predicted that the southern part of the country will experience a cold front moving from neighbouring South Africa.<\/p>\n

Odillo Kgobetsi, spokesperson for the Metrological Services, explained that Namibia is going to be cold and wet for the most part during the remainder of September.<\/p>\n

\u201cExpect low temperatures and a few days of rain, so be sure to bundle up to avoid catching a cold,\u201d said Kgobetsi. The Karas Region experienced cloudy weather this morning and the cold air mass will be prevailing in the South and will set in the East tomorrow.<\/p>\n

Minimum temperatures in the South and East will be below five degrees celsius and day time temperatures will be in the mid 20s, which means lower than 22 degrees celsius.<\/p>\n

Warm weather is expected on Friday in the Karas, Hardap and Omaheke regions, with temperatures above 25 degrees celsius, while the north will remain hot, with temperatures above 30 degrees celsius.<\/p>\n

According to Kgobetsi, normal to above-normal rainfall is expected in the country for the first half of the season in October, November and December, while normal to below-normal rainfall is also expected.<\/p>\n

Fresh to strong southwesterly winds are expected in the Hardap and Omaheke regions tomorrow. \u201cOn average, there are two rainy days in Namibia during September and the first few drops were experienced in some part of the country,\u201d Kgobetsi concluded.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
