Africa-Press – Namibia. <\/strong><\/span>THE construction of a N$1 million state-of-the-art open market at Okahao, Omusati Region, is progressing well.<\/p>\n

According to Ali Dharani of the Rani Group.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am just happy that we will honour what we promise the people,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

The open market, which will be built in two phases, will benefit women and the young people who do trade in the town.<\/p>\n

In the first phase, a total of 86 stalls are expected to be constructed for N$600 000, while in phase two 70 stalls will be constructed for N$400 000.<\/p>\n

It is being constructed by The 6000 Investment, a company owned by Mario Upite.<\/p>\n

The 31st of July is the expected date of completion.<\/p>\n

Once completed it will be donated to the Okahao Town Council for the benefit of the community in which the donors operate, to ensure that vendors have a proper place to do business instead of operating in the streets, in front of shops and at places that are unsafe.<\/p>\n
