Africa-Press – Namibia. <\/strong><\/span>Affirmative Repositioning (AR) spokesperson Simon Amunime has accused former City of Windhoek mayor Job Amupanda of being greedy, selfish and using people for his own political ambitions.<\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cGeorge Kambala and Dee Nauyoma are clear and good examples of that, the two remain unemployed and without income because they must be running your political agendas on a full time basis, while you are fully employed at Unam,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

In a statement titled ‘Lies Have Short Legs’, Amunime says there are ongoing allegations from Amupanda about him allegedly ‘eating up’ the movement’s money, and that of the FIX Namibia SMS campaign.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe suspect this is simply because of our strong stance in a meeting where we demanded for a rotation at the City of Windhoek, in which we proposed for both Job Amupanda and Keister Elago to vacate the two seats at the City of Windhoek, and allow other activists such as Dimbulukeni Nauyoma, George Kambala, and others to occupy those seats and earn an income.<\/p>\n

“Many of these activists are unemployed and are blacklisted by the regime of the day because of their association to the movement, this despite them having various post-secondary qualifications,\u201d he says.<\/p>\n

Amunime says Amupanda has become bitter towards him after he decided to seek employment, and left the AR headquarters.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou became bitter and began all your lies about him being compromised and involving his name with some imaginary lost money. While knowing that Amunime has three degrees and is busy with the fourth qualification, therefore, under no circumstances will we allow ourselves to be your volunteer serving at your behest.\u201d<\/p>\n

Amunime says they have no issues with his fighting, as that’s what he is allegedly good at.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou fight your colleagues at Unam, fight colleagues at the City of Windhoek and even worse and toxic, fighting your very own friends, even in their difficult times during their detention.<\/p>\n

We take strong exception to the abuse of my name, character, personality and credibility and will henceforth not tolerate any such further misleading lies and misbehaviour from you,\u201d he says.<\/p>\n

On his social media page, Amupanda says they cannot be distracted by small storms.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur movement will never be an August 26 from where the empty stomach will find comfort. If you allow this situation now, it will breed a generation of potential criminals who will demand positions in future because they are hungry,\u201d he says.<\/p>\n

Amupanda says the movement will never degenerate, if anything the disrupters will strengthen their resolve.<\/p>\n
