Africa-Press – Namibia. <\/strong><\/span>On Saturday, 6 August 2022, the national Kurt B\u00f6hme Speaking Competition was held at the DHPS, and the young speakers from different Namibian schools impressed with their talents.<\/p>\n

The grade 9 and 11 learners did not make it easy for the judges: Dr Andreas G\u00f6tze from the German Embassy Windhoek, Naita Hishoono from the Namibia Institute for Democracy, journalist and author Erika von Wietersheim, and Jasko Rust from Hitradio Namibia.<\/p>\n

DHPS\u2019 Gabriele Ritzdorf was able to impress the judges within the grade 9 junior category with her topic \u2018Trophy hunting \u2013 killing for fun?\u2019.<\/p>\n

Arik Blatt from the Private School Swakopmund (PSS) spoke on \u2018True\/Product Beauty\u2019 and was ranked second, while Kai Precht, also from PSS, ended third with his topic \u2018Trophy hunting.<\/p>\n

In the grade 11 senior category, DHPS learner Maike Metzger took first place with her speech on \u2018Happiness as the goal in life\u2019.<\/p>\n

Also from DHPS, Daniel Koch spoke on \u2018Unconditional basic income\u2019 and ended second, while Ndeshimona Huzatijke from Delta Secondary School Windhoek ended third with his topic \u2018I\u00b4m sorry, no time\u2019.<\/p>\n
