Africa-Press – Namibia. <\/strong><\/span>Angolan citizens residing in Namibia cast 882 votes for the National Union for the Total Independence of Angola (Unita) and 468 votes for the ruling People’s Movement for the Liberation of Angola (MPLA) last week.<\/p>\n

Angolan citizens residing in Namibia cast 882 votes for the National Union for the Total Independence of Angola (Unita) and 468 votes for the ruling People’s Movement for the Liberation of Angola (MPLA) last week.<\/p>\n

The confirmed results for Windhoek were: Unita’s 404 votes against the MPLA’s 213 votes.<\/p>\n

At Rundu, Unita garnered 415 votes against the MPLA’s 114 votes.<\/p>\n

At Oshakati, Unita gained 63 votes to the MPLA’s 141 votes.<\/p>\n

Young voters who lined up last week at the Angolan embassy in Windhoek to cast their votes said they believe in change and are voting for a \u201cbetter\u201d Angola.<\/p>\n

\u201cI came to vote because I believe that my country Angola deserves better, and I came to vote because I want the youth to have a voice and bring change because the ruling party is not bringing change for the young people,\u201d Angolan national Silvio Liahuka (24) said.<\/p>\n

Miraslov Cambila (20), an Angolan studying in Windhoek said he is voting for the betterment of his country.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am voting to keep president Jo\u00e3o Louren\u00e7o to stay in power because I believe he is doing a good job,\u201d Cambila said.<\/p>\n
