Hopefully, we&#8217;ll see and confirm those players in the next round and finals.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Following an intense last eight battle in the men&#8217;s section, Unam Vipers secured a semi-final date with the Namibia Correctional Services (NCS) in Windhoek, while the Namibia Defence Force (NDF) will face Khomas Nampol Volleyball Club (KNVC) on 25 September.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe were able to win two games against NDF and Erongo Nampol. Today [Saturday] we played the quarter-finals against Six Stars.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was a tough match indeed, since both teams were well prepared. My team was able to come out victorious,\u201d Manuel Mashlo of Unam Vipers said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat we&#8217;re looking to now is the semi-finals to be held in Windhoek. We will be training hard. We want to win the semi-finals and hopefully the final again,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHopefully with the scouting that has been happening, one of my teammates will be be scouted, because I know there is a lot of potential in the Kavango regions.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The equally challenging women&#8217;s category saw Beaufort, NDF, Kudos and Revivals volleyball clubs qualifying for the Windhoek semi-finals.<\/p>\n<p>Kudos will face Beaufort, while NDF will take on Revivals.<\/p>\n<p>Sarah Wayiti, Revival Volleyball Club assistant captain, said the heat at Mariental Sport Stadium added to the challenge.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe games were quite tough. Not really tough in terms of the competition, but the weather was a bit different from what we&#8217;re used to in Windhoek. We usually play indoors,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHere it was very very hot. We needed to drink a lot of water, and that made it a bit difficult. It seems most of the clubs that came from outside Windhoek were used to these conditions and they gave us a bit of a tough time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The added incentive of earning a national team call-up has resulted in intense battles, Wayiti said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut we won all our four games and we&#8217;re excited for the semis.
