{"id":29461,"date":"2022-09-14T14:55:58","date_gmt":"2022-09-14T14:55:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/namibia\/all-news\/national-karate-champs-yield-spectacular-action"},"modified":"2022-09-14T15:10:52","modified_gmt":"2022-09-14T15:10:52","slug":"national-karate-champs-yield-spectacular-action","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/namibia\/all-news\/national-karate-champs-yield-spectacular-action","title":{"rendered":"National karate champs yield spectacular action"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Namibia. <\/strong><\/span>THE Shotokan Karate Academy (Skai) hosted the 2022 Skai National Championships at the Sports Plaza Hall in Windhoek on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>THE Shotokan Karate Academy (Skai) hosted the 2022 Skai National Championships at the Sports Plaza Hall in Windhoek on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>Karateka from all over the country attended this flagship karate event, with spectacular action on all four rings on display.<\/p>\n<p>The black belts, many of whom are in the national team, treated the spectators to a spectacle of exciting and exhilarating karate.<\/p>\n<p>The competition was fierce as podium positions were needed to secure an invite to the national trials in 2023.<\/p>\n<p>The Shotokan Warriors also competed well and showed dedication and commitment.<\/p>\n<p>Skai still has two competitions to be presented in 2022.<\/p>\n<p>The next event is the 18th Coastal Development Championships at Walvis Bay on 1 October.<\/p>\n<p>Thereafter, the Skai Year-End Championships will be held on 26 November in Windhoek.<\/p>\n<p>Children aged four to eight had a ring dedicated to their participation only.
