Africa-Press<\/a> – Namibia<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>Namibia will use the loss against Tanzania in their U\/19 International Cricket Council (ICC) World Cup qualifiers as motivation to move through to the next round.<\/p>\n

Captain Jack Parker said the loss was a big disappointment, but they are definitely going to use it as an incentive going forward into their next two games.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is going to be crucial for us to win but we are really up for it, especially after that loss against Tanzania, so we really want to do anything we can to make sure we qualify,\u201d he told Cricket Namibia.<\/p>\n

\u201cObviously, we are going to depend on other results a little bit, but we are still positive we can qualify,\u201d said Parker.<\/p>\n

Namibia started off their world cup qualifying campaign with a win against Uganda by 7 wickets (with 80 balls remaining) but lost against Tanzania by 48 runs.<\/p>\n

Reflecting on the two games, the skipper said the game against Uganda was a good one, where they played very well \u2013 but losing against Tanzania was unfortunate, as there were few errors made.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur first game against Uganda was a good one; we played very well, managed to build enough in the 30 overs and to chase the score; only losing to three wickets was very impressive as well. One of the wickets was an error we did not want to make \u2013 but overall, it was a great performance,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Today, Namibia face host nation Rwanda, who beat Nigeria by four runs in their previous game. Namibia last competed in the 2018 edition of the U\/19 World Cup held in New Zealand.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
