Africa-Press – Namibia. <\/strong><\/span>The Banker Magazine recently conveyed the award of 2022 Bank of the Year Namibia to FNB Namibia for the 11th time. The winner was announced at a ceremony held in London, United Kingdom.<\/p>\n

The prestigious awards aim to reward and promote industry-wide excellence in the global banking community, and international judges select only one winning bank for each country, which is what makes The Banker \u2018Country Bank of Year Award\u2019 quite a sought-after award.<\/p>\n

When congratulating FNB Namibia\u2019s management and staff on achieving top honours, The Banker Editor Joy Macknight said, \u201cThe judging panel felt the bank made the most progress over the 12 months, something which is not only in terms of the bank\u2019s strong financials but also in the wide range of initiatives the bank undertook during this period\u201d.<\/p>\n

Receiving the Banker Award for FNB Namibia in London last night, FNB Namibia CEO Erwin Tjipuka said to colleagues via social media: \u201cYears ago, FNB started to win this \u2018award of awards\u2019 and to win it for 2022, for helping to build a globally competitive Namibia, for building the best support base for customers and being the bank that sees new potential in our beloved country, is an amazing way to end this year\u201d.<\/p>\n

The Banker Magazine is a monthly international financial affairs publication owned by The Financial Times Ltd. Edited in London; the magazine was first published in January 1926 through founding editor Brendan Bracken of the Financial News, who became the Chairman of the Financial Times from 1945 to 1958.<\/p>\n

The best bank awards are named in his honour.<\/p>\n
