Africa-Press – Namibia. <\/strong><\/span>ZAMBEZI regional police have kicked off a two-week long crime prevention operation at Choto compound, which is allegedly plagued by a high rate of daily housebreaking incidents.<\/p>\n

Regional commander commissioner Andreas Shilelo on Tuesday said day and night patrols would be conducted over three days at Katima Mulilo.<\/p>\n

“Housebreaking crimes in Choto are very high. Therefore, we are starting here by going door to door to find out who the people are we are policing. Throughout the operation, we will engage the community members to see how best we can assist them. They might also show us the hotspots where these crimes are committed frequently,” he said.<\/p>\n
