Africa-Press – Namibia. <\/strong><\/span>The health ministry will soon make an announcement on administering Covid-19 booster shots and making vaccination jabs available to children under the age of 18.<\/b><\/p>\n

The ministry’s deputy executive director Petronella Masabane said on Monday that booster shots and under-18 vaccination were among the issues now being interrogated at executive level.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou can expect an announcement possibly during the course of this week or early next week after the special Cabinet meeting scheduled for this Friday,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

The scientific committee and case management pillar, which initially did the research into booster shots and vaccinating under-18s, includes experts from the World Health Organisation and the Centres for Disease Control, who have been studying the mixing and matching of vaccines in Namibia.<\/p>\n
