This initiative, she added, was born out of a partnership between Namibia and Germany.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe German government, through its Ministry of Education and Research, allocated an amount of 5 million Euros for the scholarships for the Namibian youth in Germany or in programmes in collaboration with German institutions. The funding priority areas were identified as follows: Technical and Vocational Education Training, Master Degree programmes and upskilling of current graduates through relevant short courses,\u201d Kandji-Murangi said.<\/p>\n<p>Kandji-Murangi said that the 93 beneficiaries were selected from a total of 1 128 applications that were received after the Southern African Science Service Centre for Climate Change and Adaptive Land Management (SASSCAL) advertised the green hydrogen scholarships last year in March.<\/p>\n<p>The beneficiaries, Kandji-Murangi added, include 63 Masters candidates and 29 candidates for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET). She added that 45 of the 63 Masters candidates are registered at the University of Namibia (UNAM) and the Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST), while 23 of the 29 TVET candidates are registered at various TVET centres in the country.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe readiness of German higher education and training institutions to partner with their Namibian counterparts to develop suitable hybrid academic and technical programmes attest to the long cordial relationship that exists between our two countries,\u201d the minister added.<\/p>\n\r\n                <style
