Africa-Press – Namibia. <\/strong><\/span>THE town of Okongo hosted the third Wodibo Haulofu Annual School Sports Tournament over the weekend, which saw 23 schools from Ohangwena, Oshana, and Okavango West regions take part in the three-day event.<\/p>\n Phillip \u201cWetu\u201d Lazarus, the school sports organiser, stated that the event\u2019s participants were learners from the three regions.<\/p>\n In the Senior Soccer Category, Oshela Senior Secondary School (SSS) emerged as the winners, receiving N$4 000, a floating trophy, and gold medals. Dr. Abraham Iiyambo SSS, the second runner-up, won N$3 200 and silver medals, while Haimbili Haufiku SS received N$2 500 and bronze medals for third place. Okanghudi Combined School (CS) was awarded N$1 900 for fourth place.<\/p>\n In the Junior Soccer Category, Ekoka CS won N$2 500, a floating trophy, and gold medals as the winner. Olukula CS took second place, receiving N$1 500 and silver medals, while Ondema CS received N$1 000 and bronze medals.<\/p>\n Onanghulo CS emerged victorious in the Senior Netball Category, receiving N$1 500, a floating trophy, and gold medals. Oshikunde CS was the second runner-up, earning N$1, 200 and silver medals, while Dr. Kandjimi Murangi SS received N$800 and bronze medals for finishing third.<\/p>\n In the Junior Netball Category, Omhuuni CS won N$1 200, a floating trophy, and gold medals. Olukula CS won second place, receiving N$800 and silver medals, while Tobias Hainyeko C.S won N$800 and bronze medals for finishing third.<\/p>\n In the volleyball category, Haimbili Haufiku SS emerged as the winner, receiving N$650, a floating trophy, and gold medals. Oshela SSS won second place, earning N$400 and silver medals, while Dr. Kandjimi Murangi SS received N$300 and bronze medals.<\/p>\n Lazarus thanked all the sponsors for supporting the event and stated that next year\u2019s tournament would be bigger and better.
