Africa-Press – Namibia. <\/strong><\/span>LAND delivery remains the utmost priority for the Council, aligning with the national development agenda.<\/p>\n

However, planning and township establishment are prerequisites for land delivery, which, in turn, is a prerequisite for housing and infrastructure development.<\/p>\n

According to Ongwediva Mayor Taarah Shalyefu, land delivery is the Council\u2019s top priority.<\/p>\n

Shalyefu said that they have also budgeted for the survey and promulgation of the subdivided erf 34 Omatando proper, which will be known and identified as Omatando Extension 8.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, they plan to re-plan a block of erven in Extension 2, also known as New Reception area Phase 3, to rectify the erf boundaries and create a revised cadastral map of the area.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are finalizing the planning and township establishment process for both Onawa Extension 1 and Onawa Extension Proper,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Shalyefu added that the survey for Onawa Proper will soon be approved.<\/p>\n

To accommodate all these projects, a total amount of N$1.3 million has been allocated for the 2023\/24 financial year.<\/p>\n

In addition, Shalyefu mentioned that N$5 million has been budgeted for crop field compensation.<\/p>\n
