By early Tuesday, the ANC had 152 seats, the DA 71 and FF Plus 5.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, South Africans continue to question the low voter turnout. Despite 26.2 million registered voters, the IEC on Monday highlighted that the voter turnout was at 8 million by 5pm while giving an update.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s believed this could be the lowest voter turnout. The ANC so far has 44.67% support, followed by the DA (27.68%) and EFF (7.8%). Earlier, the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) said it was still measuring the voter turnout figures following the 2021 local government elections.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, by early morning there was some indication from experts of the FFPlus gaining some ground in Midvaal, Gauteng.
