Africa-Press – Namibia. <\/strong><\/span>The MTC Netball Namibia Premier League has concluded its first-round matches, with institutional teams dominating the top four positions.<\/p>\n

At the top, inaugural winners Namibia Correctional Services (NCS) lead defending champions Mighty Gunners and Otjozondjupa Nampol by goal difference, with the three teams tied on 18 points.<\/p>\n

They have all played 11 games, losing two each but the goal difference of 231, 182 and 123 separates them at the top.<\/p>\n

In the fourth position is Namibian Navy Netball Club (NNNC), and newcomers Wanderers are fifth with 16 points from 11 games with three defeats each.<\/p>\n

They are also separated by the goal difference of 116 and 66, respectively.<\/p>\n

Inaugural competition runners-up Tigers are at Number six, followed by Afrocat Lions at number seven and Eleven Arrows at number eight.<\/p>\n

Young Stars are ninth, Rebel at 10th, Northern Flyballers at 11th and Fatou at 12th occupy the last four positions in the relegation zone.<\/p>\n

National Team shooter Anna Kasper leads the sharp shooter\u2019s log with 394 shots from 429 attempts.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Netball Namibia on Monday announced that Juanita Witbeen has been co-opted to the position of vice president of development from 12 June 2023.<\/p>\n

Her term of office will run concurrently with the current board\u2019s term and follows the resignation of Marvellous Khaebes-Ochar.<\/p>\n
