Africa-Press – Namibia. <\/strong><\/span>The Inaugural MTC Netball Namibia Premier League (NNPL) champions, Namibia Correctional Services (NCS), extended their lead on top of the 2023 log standings after winning a crucial match on Saturday against their rivals, the Mighty Gunners.<\/p>\n Prior to Saturday\u2019s match, Both Gunners and NCS were tied at 22 points, and Saturday\u2019s encounter was the one to decide which of the two previous winners would increase their chances of winning the title this season.<\/p>\n The two teams clashed on Saturday at Walvis Bay in a match that saw NCS narrowly down their opponents by 40-37. Speaking to this publication after the match, NSC Sports Administrator Absolom Mushandja said the game was a must-win for them.<\/p>\n \u201cIt was a crucial match; we knew it was going to be a tough game for us, but we also knew that all we wanted was the maximum points, and that\u2019s what we went to do. This will now leave everything in our hands. To me, I think that\u2019s the only hard game that we needed to win to ensure that our chances of winning the league this season are high.
