Africa-Press – Namibia. <\/strong><\/span>India and Namibia have joined forces to launch the India-Namibia Centre for ICT Excellence (INCEIT) in Windhoek, a pioneering institution that will offer specialized programs in Information and Communication Technology (ICT). The centre will be managed by the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC), India\u2019s esteemed technical arm under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.<\/p>\n

Part of India\u2019s broader strategy for transnational education (TNE), the establishment of INCEIT marks a significant milestone in India\u2019s expanding TNE initiatives, particularly in Africa, with Namibia being a focal point.<\/p>\n

The key significance lies in INCEIT being the first India-Africa TNE centre under CDAC\u2019s management. As a leading research and development organization in the ICT sector, CDAC\u2019s involvement ensures the delivery of high-quality ICT education to students in Namibia.<\/p>\n

The centre is poised to benefit both nations significantly. For India, INCEIT serves as a platform to showcase its expertise in ICT to a broader audience. For Namibia, the centre presents an opportunity to enhance its ICT skills and infrastructure.<\/p>\n

At its inauguration, INCEIT will accommodate 125 students, with future plans to expand its capacity to accommodate up to 500 students.<\/p>\n
