Africa-Press – Namibia. <\/strong><\/span>The Otjiwarongo Municipality yesterday announced the appointment of Erikson Mwayekange as acting CEO for a period of three months.<\/p>\n

Otjiwarongo mayor Gottlieb Shivute, in an interview with Nampa, said Mwayekange\u2019s appointment follows the resignation of Moses Matyayi last month. Matyayi has been appointed CEO of the City of Windhoek.<\/p>\n

Mwayekange is the strategic executive for community development services at the Otjiwarongo Municipality.<\/p>\n

\u201cMwayekange\u2019s appointment is effective from 1 August 2023 until November this year, or until a substantive CEO is appointed by the management committee of the municipality on a permanent basis,\u201d Shivute said. He further stated that the recruitment process for the new CEO has started and is still in the preliminary stages.<\/p>\n
