{"id":50496,"date":"2023-08-03T16:49:32","date_gmt":"2023-08-03T16:49:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/namibia\/all-news\/nafau-inks-wage-increase-deal-at-hartlief"},"modified":"2023-08-03T17:02:46","modified_gmt":"2023-08-03T17:02:46","slug":"nafau-inks-wage-increase-deal-at-hartlief","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/namibia\/all-news\/nafau-inks-wage-increase-deal-at-hartlief","title":{"rendered":"Nafau inks\u00a0 wage increase\u00a0 deal at Hartlief"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Namibia. <\/strong><\/span>Hartlief, a subsidiary of the Ohlthaver &amp; List (O&amp;L) Group, recently signed a substantive agreement with the Namibia Food and Allied Workers Union (Nafau) effective for the period 1 July 2023 to 30 June 2024 applicable to all bargaining unit employees of Hartlief Continental Meat Products.<\/p>\n<p>The substantive agreement entails a 5.2% increase on basic salaries as well as increases to both housing and transport allowances for all bargaining unit employees.<\/p>\n<p>At the signing of the agreement, Hartlief Managing Director (MD), Gunther Ling, extended his gratitude to all those involved in the negotiations and stated: \u201cThe session was positive and amicable and allowed us to conclude the agreement in united fashion. This agreement is testament to our commitment to our people, without whom Hartlief would not be the passionate, quality-delivering company that it is. All our employees help create the O&amp;L Group Vision we are working towards, \u2018to be a catalyst for positive change, creating new realities and fulfilling dreams\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Protasius Shitongeni, Nafau Windhoek branch organiser, also shared his appreciation for the cooperative deliberations between the parties. Shitongeni: \u201cFirstly, I would like to thank the Hartlief negotiation committee, for negotiating in good faith.
