\u201cThe success of the imminent 2023 Census relies heavily on you, the citizens, who, through your active involvement and cooperation, will not only determine its successful completion but also subsequent planning and policy achievements. It\u2019s important to understand that the Census is not merely a government initiative; it is a national endeavour in which each and every citizen plays a vital role. When citizens actively contribute by providing precise information, it guarantees the reliability of Census data,\u201d he remarked.<\/p>\n

President Geingob underscored that the Census stands as a potent instrument for data collection and a pivotal factor in shaping society, the economy, and government affairs. He further emphasized its role in comprehending evolving demographics, which are crucial for formulating equitable policies and distributing resources.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn a country blessed with abundant resources like ours, it is imperative that we have an accurate count of our most valuable asset \u2013 our human capital, our citizens,\u201d the president affirmed.<\/p>\n

He stressed that the 2023 Census would thus furnish indispensable facts for the government\u2019s policy formulation, planning, and administration. Furthermore, he explained that the Census would facilitate the development of pertinent socio-economic policies aimed at enhancing the well-being of the populace.<\/p>\n

\u201cAdditionally, Census data plays a pivotal role in tracking our progress toward achieving our development objectives. Whether it pertains to education, healthcare, or infrastructure development, the Census equips us with the requisite benchmarks to assess our progress. It serves as a tool to hold our government accountable for its commitments and ensures our nation\u2019s development remains on course,\u201d he asserted.<\/p>\n

President Geingob also noted that this data would be instrumental in identifying priority areas requiring improvement, thus aiding in the inclusion of all citizens.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have consistently been a government that serves the interests of the people and is guided by their input. Our commitment is to provide the necessary resources to enhance the living conditions of every Namibian. Let us, therefore, fulfil our patriotic duty by uniting to ensure the success of the 2023 Population and Housing Census. In this Year of Revival, let us continue our journey towards prosperity by counting one Namibian at a time, ensuring that no Namibian feels marginalized,\u201d the president concluded.<\/p>\n
