Africa-Press – Namibia. <\/strong><\/span>Round 10 of the 2023 Nedbank for Good Series will take place at the Windhoek Golf & Country Club tomorrow.<\/p>\n

Preparations for the event are now at an advanced stage, with organiser Dan Zwiebel saying they are expecting a large turnout for the event. A total of 76 linksmen will take part in the games on the day.<\/p>\n

\u201cWindhoek Golf & Country Club has always been an amazing host, and we look forward to hosting round 10 of the event at their establishment,\u201d Zwiebel said.<\/p>\n

After the games on Saturday, the finalists will head to Omeya Golf Club on Friday, 6 October, to crown the champion of the Nedbank for Good Series and once again conclude another successful year. The first event of this year\u2019s series kicked off at Omeya Golf Club in February, before moving to Gobabis in May.<\/p>\n

In June, the series went to Oranjemund and Tsumeb before shifting to Mariental in July. August was the busiest month, with Oshakati, Walvis Bay, and Rossmund Golf Course hosting the country\u2019s top amateur golfers before Henties Bay played host in early September.<\/p>\n

As part of Nedbank Namibia\u2019s commitment to giving back to the community, the event\u2019s proceeds will be directed towards the Ro\u0308ssing Foundation and its primary beneficiaries are the learners and teachers in rural schools.<\/p>\n

However, the Mobile Laboratory will not be available this weekend, only at the final.<\/p>\n

Nedbank Namibia communications and PR manager, Selma Kaulinge said: \u201cSince we teed-off in Omeya in February, the ball has been rolling, and it does not look like it\u2019s stopping anytime soon. We are grateful for the immense support we have received in this year\u2019s edition of the Nedbank for Good Series. I would like to thank the Rossing Foundation for the work they put in this year, to ensure they take the mobile laboratory to the different towns, the sponsors for making the series a success, and lastly, the golf players \u2013 your unwavering support throughout the series is what will make us come back again next year. So, lets enjoy the tenth round, so we can have our complete field for the final next month,\u201d she concluded.<\/p>\n

Saturday\u2019s event will tee off at 10h00 from first and tenth tee, using the Individual Stableford format in the men\u2019s and ladies\u2019 divisions.<\/p>\n

Stableford is a scoring system in golf, which rather than counting the total number of strokes taken, involves scoring points based on the number of strokes taken at each hole.<\/p>\n
