{"id":54818,"date":"2023-09-29T16:09:13","date_gmt":"2023-09-29T16:09:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/namibia\/all-news\/namibia-launches-2024-tourism-expo-targeting-to-market-country-beyond-borders"},"modified":"2023-09-29T16:23:26","modified_gmt":"2023-09-29T16:23:26","slug":"namibia-launches-2024-tourism-expo-targeting-to-market-country-beyond-borders","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/namibia\/all-news\/namibia-launches-2024-tourism-expo-targeting-to-market-country-beyond-borders","title":{"rendered":"Namibia launches 2024 Tourism Expo targeting to market country beyond borders"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Namibia. <\/strong><\/span>Namibia\u2019s Minister of Environment, Forestry and Tourism Pohamba Shifeta on Wednesday launched the 2024 Tourism Expo, scheduled for April 24 to 26 next year.<\/p>\n<p>Shifeta launched the expo as Namibia joined the world in celebrating World Tourism Day.<\/p>\n<p>The expo is set to feature the theme of \u201cBeyond Borders.\u201d It is envisaged to promote the Kavango-Zambezi Transfrontier Conservation Park which comprises a unique conservation area that spans Angola, Botswana, Namibia, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe KAZA area which is the focus for the 2024 Tourism Expo will also promote cross-border tourism,\u201d he said as areas like Zimbabwe\u2019s Victoria Falls, Botswana\u2019s Kavango Delta, and Namibia\u2019s Zambezi Region will be covered to advance the growth of tourism in the area.<\/p>\n<p>Shifeta also said the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) has identified investment as one of the key priorities for the recovery of the tourism sector and future growth and development of the industry.<\/p>\n<p>The 2023 Tourism Day is a call to action for the international community and other stakeholders to unite around a new tourism investment strategy and new ways of providing memorable and life-changing experiences to travellers, he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe need to market Namibia by aligning our marketing strategies for broader parameters such as the KAZA area,\u201d he stressed.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For More News And Analysis About <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/namibia\">Namibia<\/a> Follow <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/\">Africa-Press<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa-Press &#8211; Namibia.
