Africa-Press – Namibia. <\/strong><\/span>The football and netball competition, organised by the office of the Omaheke governor, will commence tomorrow at the famous Legare Stadium in Gobabis.<\/p>\n About 10 football and netball teams from Otjinene, Gobabis, Epukiro, Aminuis, Okorukambe Kalahari and Otjombinde will battle for N$50 000.<\/p>\n Speaking to this publication, the chairperson of the tournament, Erwin Katjizeu, who is the current Otjinene constituency councillor said the funds raised will be used to eliminate malnutrition cases in the Omaheke region.<\/p>\n \u201cWe will use youth, aged 16 to 35, to generate funds that will be used to support soup kitchens in various parts of the region. Currently, we have three soup kitchens in Gobabis, Drimiopsis and Otjinene,\u201d Katjizeu alluded.<\/p>\n Katjizeu added the competition will also act as a selection for the regional team to represent Omaheke in the upcoming regional, national and international tournaments.<\/p>\n \u201cThis will be a tough battle, and all constituencies must come well prepared.
