Africa-Press – Namibia. <\/strong><\/span>Stadio Namibia and the Automobile Association of Namibia signed a memorandum of understanding on Friday to collaborate on key areas such as curriculum development for short and long-term courses.<\/p>\n

This will comprise driver training management, the hosting of seminars, webinars and consultative engagements with relevant stakeholders, as well as quality assurance.<\/p>\n

Brighten Simasiku, head of Stadio Namibia, said the cooperation will constitute different areas of development and excellence, such as offering qualifications that meet the optimal standards and relevance in the Namibian transport sector, facilitating scholarly and scientific academic relationships, training and opportunities for capacity growth, and development in the respective institutions.<\/p>\n

\u201cStadio Namibia as an institution is committed to widening access to education and offering qualifications that align with the world of work, while AA Namibia advocates for road safety through smart partnerships with both local and international road safety groups. Both parties believe that this opportunity will bring value through the development of a skilled workforce in Namibia,\u201d he noted.<\/p>\n

Automobile Association of Namibia (AAN) managing director Hileni Tjivikua highlighted the transformative potential of this partnership, emphasising its role in enhancing the nation\u2019s road safety capacity.<\/p>\n

The agreement thus not only symbolises a commitment to a safer future on the roads, but also envisions a community where lives are safeguarded, road accidents are curtailed, and prosperity flourishes.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe recognise the power of partnership in nurturing the minds of tomorrow. In this spirit of cooperation, we embark on a journey that holds the potential to shape the future of our institutions, and by extension, our nation,\u201d she stated.<\/p>\n

Tjivikua added that the AAN has always been at the forefront of promoting road safety, providing valuable services to motorists, and advocating for a culture of responsible driving.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur partnership with Stadio Namibia opens new horizons, allowing us to expand our efforts beyond the roads and into the realms of formal and tertiary education,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

\u201cEducation is not merely a gateway to personal growth; it is the cornerstone upon which nations are built. Through this memorandum of understanding, we are laying a foundation of a robust academic framework that will empower individuals, create opportunities and drive innovation,\u201d she continued.<\/p>\n
