Africa-Press – Namibia. <\/strong><\/span>The Namibia Diamond Trading Company (NDTC) has unveiled a N$200 000 sponsorship for the Brave Gladiators.<\/p>\n

The sponsorship was announced at a ceremony at Football House yesterday, where the Chief Executive Officer of NDTC, Brent Eiseb, said they decided to get involved to create a platform for the girl child to showcase in the best possible way their talents.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs the Brave Gladiators, we want you to do what you have to do. While the NFA\u2019s role is to make sure that everything is in place logistically, companies like NDTC play a role in making sure that all the components fit together for you to do your best,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

He added that every Namibian child should be given an equal opportunity to become the best they can be, while also appreciating the opportunity to make an impact in women\u2019s football.<\/p>\n

Eiseb said women\u2019s football is not about scoring goals; it\u2019s about empowering and uplifting Namibian girls who are ambassadors of the country and lift the nation to global prominence.<\/p>\n

\u201cBy investing in the Brave Gladiators, we are not only investing in a team; we are investing in dreams and aspirations. These players are trailblazers who are breaking barriers and inspiring the next generation of Namibian football players. They are ambassadors of our culture, strength, and resilience,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

In the N$200 000 donated by NDTC, N$20 000 was used to buy sanitary goods, and N$180 000 was shared equally amongst the Brave Gladiators players and staff.<\/p>\n

The NDTC CEO said they are exploring ways to build a long-term relationship with the team by engaging to see if there are opportunities for a strategic partnership with the team.<\/p>\n

Speaking on behalf of the team, senior player Lydiana Nanamus said the team is made of diverse individuals who have various responsibilities, ranging from students to mothers to breadwinners; hence, the support from NDTC helps them focus on their objectives as players without any fears.<\/p>\n
