Africa-Press – Namibia. <\/strong><\/span>As the cricketing world eagerly awaits, the spotlight turns to the vibrant landscapes of Uganda, set to host the final leg of the ICC Women\u2019s T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier.<\/p>\n

Among the fierce contenders is the Namibia National Women\u2019s team, known as the Capricorn Eagles, who are poised to spread their wings and make a mark on the global stage.<\/p>\n

Scheduled to embark on their journey on 6 December, the Capricorn Eagles are gearing up for an intense battle in Kampala, where the top two sides emerging triumphant will earn the coveted opportunity to represent Africa in the global qualifiers.<\/p>\n

The stakes are high, and the road to the Women\u2019s T20 World Cup 2024 in Bangladesh runs through the heart of Uganda. The eleven-day tournament, commencing on 9 December and culminating on the 17th in the picturesque city of Entebbe, promises to be a thrilling display of cricket.<\/p>\n

The tournament features eight dynamic teams, divided into two groups, each eyeing the top spots for a chance to progress to the next stage. In Group A, the spotlight shines on Zimbabwe, the highest-ranked team in the competition, alongside Tanzania, Botswana, and Kenya. Group B, on the other hand, boasts a formidable lineup with Namibia (represented by the Capricorn Eagles), Nigeria, Rwanda, and the host nation, Uganda.<\/p>\n

The group stage battles will be fierce as teams vie for supremacy, but only the top two from each group will secure a coveted spot in the ICC Women\u2019s T20 World Cup Global Qualifiers in Dubai.<\/p>\n

The Capricorn Eagles, under the seasoned leadership of their captain, Irene van Zyl, are leaving no stone unturned in their preparation for this prestigious event.<\/p>\n

The stage is set for the Capricorn Eagles and their counterparts to leave an indelible mark on the ICC Women\u2019s T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier.<\/p>\n
