Never has Namibia made it out of the group stage at the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON). Rewriting this narrative in Cote D\u2019Ivoire will carry almost as equal weight as lifting the trophy for the Brave Warriors.<\/p>\n

But finding themselves in a group where they are favoured to finish last means they have their work cut out for them to upset the apple cart, and sneak their way to the next round.<\/p>\n

Keeping it compact at the back as they are proficient for, and converting the fewer chances they will get should see them through, but this is easier said on paper, than it is on the pitch of play against fearsome group opponents like South Africa, Tunisia and Mali<\/p>\n

Coach<\/p>\n

Collin Benjamin has done impressively well since taking over the reins of managing the Brave Warriors in June 2022.<\/p>\n

Being a Namibian with a deep understanding of the dynamics of football in the country, combined with his extensive exposure to the sport, has helped him navigate the role expertly and, once again, ignited Namibians\u2019 football hopes.<\/p>\n

As a player, Benjamin appeared in all three of Namibia\u2019s AFCON appearances, and will look to use his experience to help the present crop of players in Cote D\u2019Ivoire.<\/p>\n

Peter Shalulile is a prolific goal-scorer who has established himself as one of the league\u2019s most feared forwards.<\/p>\n

The Mamelodi Sundown\u2019s highest goal-scorer will lead the attack of the Brave Warriors who will attempt to be brave for fortune in Cote D\u2019Ivoire.<\/p>\n

Rising Star<\/p>\n

Ryan Nyambe is one of most technically gifted players in the Namibian squad whose sparks on the flanks will be important for Namibia\u2019s ambition in Cote d\u2019Ivoire.<\/p>\n

Versatile that he can play both at right back and left back, the Derby County full back is solid defensively and dangerous while on the counter.<\/p>\n
