Africa-Press – Namibia. <\/strong><\/span>The Tafel Lager Brave Warriors are gearing up for the 2024 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) under the guidance of Coach Collin Benjamin.<\/p>\n

Coach Benjamin has trimmed down the squad to 23 players, whose responsibility is to ensure that Namibia make a significant impact in Cote D\u2019Ivoire.<\/p>\n

The selected squad is a mix of seasoned players and emerging talents. The likes of Loydt Kazapua, Ryan Nyambe, Denzil Haoseb, Ivan Kamberipa, Charles Hambira, Absalom Iimbondi, Petrus Shitembi, Marcell Papama, Deon Hotto, Peter Shalulile, and Joslin Kamatuka bring their weight of their previous AFCON journey in 2019, offering a wealth of experience and a competitive edge to the team.<\/p>\n

Coach Benjamin has shown confidence in the players, emphasizing their collective ambition and individual skills as the driving force behind their pursuit of greatness. He rightly asserts that surpassing their past performances is the initial step towards outplaying their opponents. For them, AFCON embodies their World Cup, and their primary aim is to make a memorable impact.<\/p>\n

The challenge awaiting the Brave Warriors in Group E is difficult, featuring opponents like Tunisia, Mali, and South Africa. However, Coach Benjamin embraces this challenge, highlighting the crucial aspects of cohesion, strategic play, perfection in execution, and adopting the right mindset among the players.<\/p>\n

The 23 man squad, comprises of goalkeepers Loydt Kazapua, Kamaijanda Ndisiro, Edward Maova, defenders Ananias Gebhardt, Ryan Nyambe, Riaan Hanamub, Kennedy Amutenya, Denzil Haoseb, Charles Hambira, Aprocious Petrus, Ivan Kamberipa, and Lubeni Haukongo, midfielders Ngero Katua, Marcel Papama, Petrus Shitembi, Prins Tjiueza, Uetuuru Kambato, and forwards Wendell Rudath, Absalom Iimbondi, Peter Shalulile, Deon Hotto, Joslin Kamatuka, and Bethuel Muzeu,<\/p>\n

The tournament commences on January 13, 2024, across multiple venues in Abidjan, Yamoussoukro, Bouake, San Pedro, and Korhogo.<\/p>\n
