Africa-Press – Namibia. <\/strong><\/span>THE Namibian Brave Warriors team is expected to live up to their name as they take on South Africa on Sunday at Korhogo in Ivory Coast.<\/p>\n

The current tournament is only Namibia\u2019s fourth-ever AFCON, and they got off to a great start after defeating Tunisia.<\/p>\n

Snatching a 1-0 victory over former champions Tunisia on Tuesday, Namibia produced the biggest shock of this Africa Cup of Nations, full of upsets in Ivory Coast.<\/p>\n

The Brave Warriors were deserving winners in Korhogo, despite being ranked 115th in the world and having lost all nine of their prior AFCON games.<\/p>\n

After Mali\u2019s 2-0 victory over South Africa in the later Group E match at Amadou Gon Coulibaly Stadium, Namibia is now second in the table on goal differential as a result of the incredible outcome.<\/p>\n

In a recent interview, Brave Warriors Coach Collin Benjamin indicated that the match was nation-building, and the victory was for every Namibian. \u201cWe share this victory and the pride of being Namibian.\u201d<\/p>\n

The NFA President and PST Bet join forces to pledge N$300 000 towards the Brave Warriors after their historic 1-0 triumph.<\/p>\n

Namibians and the entire world continue to rally their support towards the team, saying the Brave Warriors have shown good sportsmanship during their previous win and expect great results on Sunday.<\/p>\n
