Africa-Press – Namibia. <\/strong><\/span>The sudden death of President Hage Geingob left youth leaders from political parties in the \/\/Kharas region very sad, but with appreciation and admiration for the active role he played in the positive development of their lives.<\/p>\n

Valmary Jantje, Swapo Party Youth League (SPYL) secretary in the region said a great loss struck the nation as the death of the head of State brought great sorrow to the party wing and the entire Namibian nation.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was one of the pioneers instrumental in bringing about our country\u2019s independence, democracy, freedom from oppression and colonialism and equal rights in our Land of the Brave,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

The youth leader continued in remembering Geingob as a courageous and resilient leader who did not budge for anything less than the best interest of our nation.<\/p>\n

Jantje added: \u201cWe, as the youth will always remember our beloved president and honour him for being our inspiration, giving us hope and taking us into his trust by appointing our fellow youth as members of Parliament.\u201d<\/p>\n

She also said he will be remembered as a gentle giant who was instrumental in the Harambee Prosperity plans, which paved the way for inclusivity for all and a prosperous future development of Namibia. \u201cAllow me to use this opportunity to wish madame Monica Geingos, the bereaved family and the Namibian nation as a whole, all God\u2019s strength and consolation during this painful period of sorrow,\u201d said the youth leader.<\/p>\n

Also contributing, Popular Democratic Movement (PDM) youth supporter, Queen Pieter said Geingob always promote the interest of the youth in the \/\/Kharas region regardless of their political affiliation.<\/p>\n

\u201cBy creating employment opportunities and fostering entrepreneurship, he aimed to empower our young people,\u201d she reasoned. Pieter also remember Geingob as someone who sought to ensure young people were equipped with skills, training and resources needed for their success when entering the labour market, through including them in governmental income generating projects and programmes. \u201cOur president\u2019s role during the liberation struggle, leading to our country\u2019s independence can never be ignored in history,\u201d Pieter emphasised.<\/p>\n
