Africa-Press – Namibia. <\/strong><\/span>A fuel shortage reported at Namibia\u2019s premier tourist attraction, the Etosha National Park, has been resolved and both the service stations at Halali and Terrace Bay are back to full operational capacity<\/p>\n

Namibia Wildlife Resorts (NWR) Spokesperson Nelson Ashipala, has confirmed that the crisis occurred and said the state-owned company only became aware of the issue when customers took to social media platforms to complain about the unacceptable lack of fuel.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is such a disappointment, such a farce. Get your house in order NWR and you are the main attraction in Namibia and you simply don\u2019t care. It is disgusting to see how you are treating your paying customers and guests,\u201d fumed one customer.<\/p>\n

In response to this, the NWR attempted to attend to the fuel issue in the Etosha National Park.<\/p>\n

\u201cNWR is aware of the fuel issue. Enercon, our third-party supplier is on their way to Okaukuejo with an emergency supply and the situation should be back to normal soon,\u201d said Ashipala.<\/p>\n

He later confirmed that the issue was resolved and that the service stations were functioning at full capacity.<\/p>\n

He commended customers for exercising their rights and bringing issues to the company\u2019s attention, emphasising that NWR remains committed to ensuring that customers are well taken care of and experience the best time while utilising NWR\u2019s facilities nationwide.<\/p>\n

Ashipala apologised for any inconvenience caused and stated that further meetings are set to take place with the supplier to ensure that the unfortunate situation is put to bed.<\/p>\n
