Africa-Press – Namibia. <\/strong><\/span>Ongwediva-based Teremoto Boxing Club is preparing to host its first amateur fight of the year. The tournament is slated for 6 April at the Ongwediva multi-purpose centre.<\/p>\n

It will see about 10 bouts on the night. The stable\u2019s promising prospect, Julius Andjamba, who will exchange leathers with Nanyendi Joshua from Bulelo Boxing Academy, will headline the event.<\/p>\n

According to promoter and founder, Abraham Iiyambo, preparations are underway to register boxers for the night. The event will feature boxers from their stable who will square it off against other boxers from various boxing clubs.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are busy arranging all logistics around the fight. We have an exciting lineup for the night with top boxing, which is promised to keep fans in the north entertained,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Setting itself apart from other boxing clubs in the region, Teremoto aims to redefine the boxing landscape by organising world-class events that captivate audiences and elevate the sport to new heights. With a commitment to excellence and innovation, Teremoto promises a night filled with surprises and unforgettable moments.<\/p>\n

Beyond the ring, spectators can anticipate captivating performances by local artists, adding an extra layer of excitement to the already thrilling event. Teremoto\u2019s dedication to providing top-notch entertainment reflects their holistic approach to boxing, fostering a community of athletes equipped with both practical and theoretical knowledge of the sport.<\/p>\n

The stable was formed in 2020 and boasts many national champions, but the promoter and coach stressed that they have had tough times securing sponsors for this event. He urged corporates to come on board and assist them with funds to successfully organise the event.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are fully funding this event ourselves, from transport to accommodation for boxers, which I feel is having a huge impact on us.<\/p>\n

We are doing all this to develop talent and provide opportunities for future champions. We are asking interested sponsors to come on board and give us any little amount they can to assist us provide a platform for these young ones,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Tickets are pegged at N$50 for general, while VIPs pay N$200.<\/p>\n
