Africa-Press – Namibia. <\/strong><\/span>Namibian rugby players Delron Brandt and Dylan Izaaks have joined countryman Rowan Jansen in the Czech Republic.<\/p>\n

The two players signed five-month contracts with RC Dragon Brno.<\/p>\n

The club currently plays in the Extraliga Ragby XV and has also been involved in the Central and Eastern European Rugby Cup since its inception in 2008.<\/p>\n

Twenty-three-year-old inside and outside centre Brandt explained that they signed short contracts as it is a short league with few teams.<\/p>\n

He said the team is competitive and powerful, even though they lost their first match recently.<\/p>\n

Brandt also shared a few words regarding the team\u2019s management, saying that they are great to work with.<\/p>\n

In addition, he said that he is still working on getting used to the weather. \u201cIt is very cold, and I end up wearing two jackets just to keep warm,\u201d said Brandt.<\/p>\n

The player previously played for Unam and Rehoboth and hopes to hone his skills, pick up experience and feature in the national rugby side.<\/p>\n

His compatriot, Izaaks (26) said it feels good to be part of the team. \u201cThe atmosphere is great, and the people are friendly,\u201d said the centre.<\/p>\n

On the other side, 20-year-old flanker Jansen, who has been playing for the club for the last two years, said it is a privilege to be part of the club. He previously played for Western Suburbs and Unam. He welcomed his new teammates and implored them to work hard and learn new tactics.<\/p>\n
